1 hour 30 minutes from Nice, the Hôtel du Grand Capelet is a little haven of peace in Haute Vésubie.
At 1550 m. at altitude, it is located in the preserved Gordolasque valley, well known to mountain lovers for its wild beauty and its access path to the Vallée des Merveilles.
Its magnificent terrace and its panorama invite you to relax during a lovely break in nature.

Table
Lunch, dinner, snack or picnic, the cuisine offered is simple and homemade. Our chef Denis harvests herbs from the fields to flavor his recipes.
He sources fresh produce from the valley and prepares delicious dishes inspired by the mountains and nearby Piedmont.

The "Vallée
de la Gordolasque"
Of the three famous high mountain valleys of the Vésubie, the Gordolasque is the first arriving from Nice and yet it is the most secret. With its waterfalls, meadows, forests, horses and rhododendrons, you immerse yourself in a bath of nature and freshness.
The National Park
of Mercantour
The Mercantour park begins a few steps away from the hotel. They will take you on sumptuous hiking trails or pleasant family walks. It is not uncommon to come across chamois and ibexes and even to see a deer passing near the hotel.
The "Vallée des Merveilles"
Perched at an altitude of more than 2,000 m, the Vallée des Merveilles offers the austere beauty of a mineral and chaotic landscape. A few hours of climbing and you discover a unique site in the world bringing together nearly 40,000 engravings dating back 5000 years, some of which retain their mystery.

Coming to the hotel:
By car
The hotel is 60 km from Nice airport. Take the Nationale M6202 (“Route de Grenoble”) out of Nice. Just after the village of Plan du Var, take the Vésubie Valley on the right, direction Saint-Martin Vésubie. Go up the Vésubie to the height of Roquebillière
(25 km) then take direction Belvédère on the right.
Go up to the hotel, it's straight (but it turns!).
Bus
Bus 90, Grand Arenas station, near Nice airport.
Get off at “Roquebillère Vieux Village”, the hotel is 12 km towards Belvédère.
Public shuttles to Gordolasque in high season.
Transfers on request to the bus stop,
€3 per person.
